How Terhills was marketed as a new tourist destination (ENG) – Rudy Hulsman

Shaped by its past as an industrial mining and gravel extraction site, today it is home to successful attractions such as Terhills Hotel, Terhills Cablepark, Elaisa Wellness, Maasmechelen Village and the brand-new jewel in the crown: Terhills Resort by Center Parcs.

During this session, Rudy Hulsman will elaborate on the stakeholder management of Terhills, given the many strategic partners on and around the site (municipalities, Center Parcs, Maasmechelen Village, Nature and Forest Agency, …). He will also explain how Terhills was marketed as a new tourist destination.

Rudy Hulsman is the former top executive of Quick Restaurants Benelux and General Manager of, among others, Walibi Belgium and Bellewaerde Park. He is an entrepreneur and mediator, with a successful track record in the retail and leisure industry. Mr. Hulsman, who is from the Netherlands, got a BA in Business Studies in the UK in 1987, and an MBA with a specialisation in marketing from the University of Hartford, USA, in 1988.
